Another fairly nondescript week has gone by, with some notable successes including another translation, selling some Great Expectations Fitness t-shirts and getting some photos taken with Matt, to whom I am donating half of the profits, two afternoons with friends, lots of blogging, one awesome training session, a new sports watch, and signing a new client up. Sunday thoughts

How I manage to be so busy when I don’t have a 35-hour-a-week job, I will never understand! Also, how I manage to sleep a minimum of 9 hours, often 10 hours, consistently, is beyond me. Still, self-employment is definitely suiting me well. I haven’t been able to blog as much as I would have liked, and training has been fairly mediocre this week, but I’m healthy and as excited as ever about all elements of my business being pieced together.

Sunday thoughts

And thus my first week of self-employment draws to a close. Despite some utterly horrible weather, it has been a good week. It has been great to sleep when I want, wake up when I want (ish), train during the day, eat what I want when I want, and be able to cook dinner for when Ben gets home from a long day.

We also spent a night with Ben’s family, which was really pleasant and relaxing as always – plus dinner was delicious: a sweet potato and spinach stew in a tomato-based sauce with coconut and peanut butter. I never think to mix those flavours in a sauce but I definitely will from now on! Continue reading
